This song was created during the COVID-19 lockdown.

With lyrics, vocals, keyboards, and production by Lisa Guzzalina, the song is one woman’s take on the Current Situation. Irreverent and cheeky, Guzzalina exhorts the listeners: “Don’t blame the pangolin” (for this mess we humans are in). 

When creating this song cover, I reflected on lyrics to the song as well as my own pandemic experience: Although it was a beautiful, green spring, with fresh air and nature blooming all around, the humans couldn’t go out and take advantage of nature. They can only stay at home and observe from their windows. The animals (bird and pangolin) are the key elements from the song:
