FESTIVAL OF BOOKS
Since the festival is held in Los Angeles, I decided to create a logo that reflected some key elements of the city. I drew from the beautiful West Coast sunsets and the waves of the Pacific Ocean, together with the theme of the festival, a book, to come up with the design. I illustrated the sun and the book in shape of ocean waves.
For the poster I wanted to create illustration with colorful patterns coming out of book as the symbol of the celebration of the written world. I wanted to convey that reading is like traveling, reading books can take you into different worlds.
